Podiatrists
A Podiatrist, also referred to as Podologist, specialises in feet, ankles, and their structures. Feet play an important role in human anatomy; from helping us stay stabilised, to helping us move and absorbing shocks. Your GP may also recommend you to see a podiatrist if you experience foot problems that require more specialised care.
When to see a podiatrist
If you are experiencing any of the following symptoms, you might need to see a podiatrist. This is not an exhaustive list; you should always consult with your GP if you are experiencing any pain;
- Bone fractures or sprains
- Diabetes
- Bunion / Hammertoe
- Nail issues including fungus
- Pain in lower legs or feet
- Athlete’s foot
