Physiotherapists
Physiotherapists treat a range of injuries, disorders, and illnesses through a physical approach which can complement or replace medication, and in certain cases surgery. Whilst physiotherapists may be most known to work with sport-related injuries, they actually help a number of patients including those suffering from illnesses.
There are also different types of physiotherapies including musculoskeletal, neurological, cardiothoracic and respiratory depending on the goals being sought through therapy. Physiotherapy also places importance on the patient’s involvement in the therapy process through education and empowerment which can increase its effectiveness.
